Welcome to WFHS Boy's Soccer

Posted Tuesday, January 13, 2009 by Jeff Cronk
Dear Coaches, Players, Parents, and Soccer Community,

My name is Jeff Cronk and is an honor to be appointed as the Head Varsity Coach to the WFHS Boy's Soccer Program.  In the past few months I have spoken to many people involved in the program and I am excited about the potential of what we all can do.

For those that don't know, I have been the Assistant Varsity Coach for Boy's Soccer at West Babylon High School for the past 3 seasons.  We have made the Suffolk County playoffs in the past two seasons with numerous other achievements.  The awards that make me most proud in my time at West Babylon are the National and State Academic awards we have won in the past 3 years.  The players on this team will always be referred to as Student-Athletes, with an emphasis on the student aspect.  Players in this program will be expected to reach high academic achievement to be a part of the tradition that is William Floyd Boy's Soccer.

As we discussed at our team meeting, we have a lot of plans for off season conditioning.  A firm commitment to the team will be necessary for us to be successful.  It will be important for players to attend as many indoor sessions as possible in the off season.  What we do now is a reflection of how well we do in the 2009 season.  We need to make sure that we are playing on high level club teams and maintaining a high fitness level through out the entire year.

I hope to meet as many parents as possible at our indoor training sessions in the off season.   I believe it is important to involve parents in as many aspects of the team as possible.  Our team depends on the parents in so many aspects and I look forward to your involvement and input.

In conclusion, I look forward to years of success within the program.  Let's get League I in 2009!!!

Yours truly,

Coach Cronk
